Great unit for the price. Well built and attractive look. First brisket came out spectacular, any and all issues are human error.
I wish there was a way to control the speed of the auger. I would like to have the pellets burning slower. Also, mines was missing the control knob. I reached out to the company for a replacement. Other than that a great Pellet smoker.
For the price of that pellet grill and what it is, I like it a lot. It's small compact fits in a lot of places I like it a lot and for what I paid for it I think it's a good deal works very well for my needs for a single person.?👍🏻
So far so good. It was pretty easy to put together. I've grilled a steak and smoked a duck so far and both came out great. Very happy with the quality of the materials used as well.
There is a video on YouTube for assembling this, watch it. This runs perfectly and is just the right size for my use. It’s solid and well designed. This is coming from someone who took university meat science classes and owned a professional Southern Pride smokehouse. It’s wonderful how dialed in the technology is for a consumer smoker. I’m not crazy about the coating on the grills, though. A comparable unit would cost maybe $200-$300 more. I would love to meet the person who designed it and figured out how to fit it into that box. As a bonus, having WalMart plus waived the freight surcharge to HI. Two day free shipping for a 78 pound box, awesome.
The product shipped as promised and the packaging was nice with easy to follow assembly instructions. I was cooking a rib roast within 2 hours of opening the box. That includes the initial burn in. I bought it as a gift and plan to order another for myself.
This smoker exceeded expecatations.Don’t waste money on pit boss or other big name grills. This smoker just as good.Smoked baby back ribs cornish gamd hens beer and brats onions snd potatoes st the same time.I did use the pitboss apple hickory pellets from walmart. It all turned out great smoked at 225 degrees took 1 hour for brats 2 hours for cornish hens and potatoes snd onions snd 5 hours for fall off bone ribs. This smoker is perfect size last weekend turned up to high setting used as grill cooked pork chops 5 minutes each side sasuage 7 minutes each side and ribeye steaks 6 minutes each side.am very very happy wwlth this grill and highly reccomend it I wrap the drip tray with foil and wash grates in sink easy clean up
I purchased this smoker during the Christmas/holiday sales. It was delivered in less than a week, and I am super happy with it so far. I bought this to replace my Z Grill, which lasted less than a year. Which I had first tried to replace it with a Masterbuilt, which lasted just a little over three months, just long enough for the Lowes return policy to end. So, when this popped up for less than $300, I figured, why not? This grill has more features than the Z Grill at twice the price, and is great. Easier to put together. i was able to get it up and running the day it was delivered, run it on hot to clean it out for an hour, and then start smoking meat. the temperature readings on the hopper are accurate for the inside of the grill, but I have not tried with probes which are not included. Setup was easy, but i have a few notes. The identification on the pack of bolts do not match with the front. you have to check the front of the package. The parts are pretty self explanatory and even if not numbered, you can identify them. i will note that the straight bar to connect the wheels is inside the box labeled 9/19, zip tied under the plastic for part 19. Oh! the hopper is huge and the cover for it actually keeps rain out. So far it has run great, and is adjust a better value than my $600 Masterbuilt for how long it has survived. My other smoker had a very small area for the ignitor and the ash had nowhere to go. i noticed assembling this grill that the ignitor has enough space while being enclosed and has ample room for ash to get pushed out. I have faith that it will survive the winter, given the sturdyness so far. I'll add that with my previous failed grills, and this one, that's still strong-I use it almost constantly. I wake up, put meat on the smoker, for either my dinner or my dogs. i use it like some people use a slow cooker to have meals ready when they get home. This includes using it all summer and winter. theres nothing like smelling pellets with blankets of snow on the ground. Anyway, highly recommend.
Well made. Good start three slab of ribs. Everything went well great first meal. Make sure you season the smoker with two dry (no food) sessions before cooking.
I bought this as my first smoker and had very little knowledge or experience going into it, but this smoker made learning and excelling incredibly easy with zero issues. Assembly wasn't bad at all, and the Instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The cleaning process is super easy. The grates can go right into the dishwasher, and the grease tray and pan clean up with no hassle. For regular maintenance, you just need to vacuum out the ashes once in a while.
This smoker is very easy to handle and move around. I haven't traveled with it yet, but I'm confident it will be a breeze when I do.
Ease of use is outstanding. You literally turn the power on, set your temperature, add your food, and walk away. I am in love with this smoker and have used it almost every day since receiving it without a single issue. The food turns out amazing every time with a rich, smoky flavor.
I would definitely recommend this smoker to anyone new to smoking food or anyone looking for an excellent smoker at an affordable price.
The grill came within a few days, well packaged in good shape. The assembly instructions were easy to follow, all parts fit and no damage. It took me under two hours to complete. Everything worked and I did the initial burnout. High was 470° and at 350° it registered 345°. The smoke setting produced a ton of smoke. Very pleased overall and would recommend.
The way the lid opens is not good, it goes back too far and the hinges are weak. The handle also gets hot when it's hot outside and you have the bbq on. The lid is my only complaint, also the handle is too heavy for the lid with those hinges.
Easy to assemble with instructions and also good instructions on how to use it after assembly. Has quality wheels - it is heavy to roll around but the wheels are quality - not just plastic. If you have a couple people to help lift, it could be transported with the way the legs are foldable. It heats up fast but burns the pellets slower than I thought it would with very little dust left behind. Size wise: It's a little smaller than I expected, but I smoked/cooked a 15-pound pork loin cut into three equal pieces which took up most of the cooking space. It held temperature well and cooked in the time I expected it to even though it was a cold, rainy day. It held one large rack of ribs with a little space along the side if you wanted to cook something else small with it. The digital display read out is nice and easy to read. (I can't review the probes that fit into the display because I did not buy them as I already have my own handheld probe set.)
Excellent product. I would definitely recommend this product. My first set of ribs and some chicken came out very delicious. Now the family wants me to cook every weekend.
I ordered this as a Christmas present to myself and Ive used it almost every weekend since getting it. Its super easy to move from the garage to the patio. Assembly was pretty simple and only took about 30 mins once unpacked.
Its extremely easy to use. just set your temp and let it go. I was gifted a wireless meat probe for Christmas that connects to my phone that allows me to hit the perfect temp.
I've cooked a full rack of Texas style pork ribs and they were the best I've ever made. Lots of burgers, chciken legs, steak, coungry style ribs, chicken breasts, boudain, even smoked some Salmon to perfection. Haven't attempted a brisket yet but i plan to in the near future.
I like to use the smoke option for the first 20 or so minutes to get that flavor into the meat, then turn it up to the temp I want and leave it.
A large bag of mesquite pellets is around $9.00. If i were to cook the same number of times with charcoal i would have spent well over a $100 by now. Just keep an eye in the pellet level to make sure you dont run out on long cooks, otherwise you'll have to take everything out and re-prime the auger.
Put foil on the grease pan for easier clean up. You'll be glad you did!
Its a little small but overall for the money this thing cant be beat!
Definitely would recommend!
Arrived with bent and dented lid but exterior of box was not damaged, suggesting damage before packing. Manufacturer refused to replace lid and offered 5% refund.
I wish there was a way to control the speed of the auger. I would like to have the pellets burning slower. Also, mines was missing the control knob. I reached out to the company for a replacement. Other than that a great Pellet smoker.
Amazing little pellet smoker! It took me right at 1 hour to assemble and it's not hard at all. It holds temp within a couple degrees for hours and hours. The internal temp probe is very accurate. I'm brand new to smoking meat and this made it so easy! My only complaint is the height. If it was taller it would be a solid 5 star!
The grill went together very easily. Quality was better than I was expecting at this cost. The cook area is little on smaller side but that is ok for average family size. I had pork butt, brisket flat and rack of baby backs in it. Unit fired up nicely but the temp did fluctuate a bit. It was better after I removed the brisket. I like the fact you need to clean from inside - no ash drop. This forces you to keep it clean inside. It would be nice compact smoker for RV with power hookups. I just use this for home use.
This is a small sized grill. I am 5 ft and this grill is very short even for me. However, with that being said, the grill cooks very well, keeps the temperature well, and seems to have a pretty good distribution of heat. It will hold about 8 large burgers and hotdogs comfortably. It is not meant to feed a large crowd but works well for a small family. It can be folded down to transport, so it would be great for camping, tailgating, or to the race. Overall, I am enjoying my new grill, but for a few dollars more, I could have bought a much larger size.
Instructions weren't the best but it doesn't take too long to put together.
The flavor is amazing and it cooks very well! We have tried everything from smoking fruits to make desserts to wings and bacon.
It holds temp great, cleans easy, loads easy, just about as simple to use as a grill. I can't believe we waited SO long to get one! We love it!
Assembly was easy and straight forward! Just followed the manual. Had ALL PIECES! The PID loop controller works great! It teaches itself how to reach and hold temperature. Instructions for initial startup were easy and dead on correct. In 40 F outside temp, it easily kept 225F smoking temp, for a 20 lb turkey. Only varied 5 degrees F for 10 hours!! Taste with using pecan pellets was unbelievably good!! I love this smoker-grill!! Well made, sturdy, and very convenient! I highly recommend this unit. $208 in Dec 3rd, 2025
